Niall is a native of Newbridge, Co.Kildare and is currently teaching music and religion in a secondary school in Laois. Niall began his musical theatre training in the Factory, Dublin where he studied musical theatre and drama. He went on to complete the guildhall diploma in Speech and Drama with a distinction. Niall completed his undergraduate degree in Music and Theology from NUI Maynooth, where he featured as a soloist with the University Choir and performed on choral words including: The Dream of Gerontius (Edward Elgar) and Handel’s Messiah. He graduated with first class honours from the University of Limerick in both his graduate diploma in education and Masters of Music Education. Niall is currently studying career guidance and counselling in the University of Limerick.
Niall is no stranger to the stage and has been heavily involved in the arts throughout the last 15 years. He has worked as a vocal coach, musical director, choir director, accompanist, director and performer. In 1999/2000 Niall had the incredible experience of touring the USA, Canada and Europe with a musical as a lead vocalist. Niall has performed in numerous musicals some of his onstage credits include, Rent (Mark); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Narrator); Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Gideon); Little Shop of Horrors (Plant); Fiddler on the Roof (Perchick); Sweet Charity (Vittorio); Viva Mexico (Pepe); Jesus Christ Superstar (Annas/Herod); The Wiz (Lion) to name a few. His Musical Director Credits include, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar (Eisht Group); Blood Brothers (UWP, Germany 2000); Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat; Fame; Humpty Dumpty/Sleeping Beauty/Dick Whittington/Aladdin (Portlaoise Pantomime Group); Snow White (Naas Pantomime Group) to mention a few. Niall has also experience teaching drama and musical theatre and has worked with numerous stage schools in the past directing and musical directing their shows. Niall also has featured in numerous concerts, nights at the musicals and choirs over the years as a solo performer.
